FUIB announces expansion of the Supervisory Board

Annual General Meeting of Shareholders of First Ukrainian International Bank (FUIB) was held on March 28, 2014. At the meeting it was decided to increase the size of the Supervisory Board of FUIB from three to five members.

Shareholders have appointed of Margarita Povazhnaya and Georgi Katanov to the Supervisory Board. Margarita Povazhnaya is the Financial Director of SCM, Georgi Katanov is the Director of SCM Advisors (UK) Limited. Ilya Arkhipov, Managing Director of SCM Advisors (UK) Limited was re-elected as Chairman of the Supervisory Board.

Curriculum vitae

In 1995 Margarita Povazhnaya graduated from Donetsk State Commercial Institute with a degree in Production Management.

In 2008 she completed a post-graduate course at the Donetsk State University of Management; She holds a PhD degree in public administration and completed mini-MBA and DipIFR training programs.

Ms Povazhnaya has experience of work as chief accountant in several Ukrainian big companies (JV “Scandic South”, JSC “Artemivsk Winery”).

Margarita Povazhnaya joined JSC SCM in 2003 and worked as chief accountant, Deputy Financial Director and in September 2009 she was promoted to the position of Financial Director.

Ms Povazhnaya chairs the audit commissions of SCM Finance, BEST Analytical Centre and SCM Service.

Georgi Katanov graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (University) with a degree in Finance and Credit, and also has an MBA from Harvard Business School.

From 2002 to 2003 George Katanov participated in the audit of vertically integrated and independent oil and gas companies in the Moscow office of PricewaterhouseCoopers.

From 2003 to 2006 he participated in a number of strategic, organizational, operational and marketing projects in the sectors of financial services, transport and consumer goods in the Moscow office of a leading international consulting firm McKinsey & Company.

From 2008 to 2013 Mr. Katanov worked in the Moscow offices of investment banks Goldman Sachs and Barclays, where he provided services to clients in the financial and telecommunications sectors, in the sphere of oil and gas and metals in transactions of domestic and international mergers and acquisitions, issuing shares and bonds on the public markets and in reorganization. He occupies the position of Deputy Director of SCM Advisors (UK) Limited since January 1, 2014.
