PUMB Records UAH 3.57 Billion Profit in H1 2025

First Ukrainian International Bank (PUMB) has released its financial results for the first half of 2025. The bank remains profitable and continues to expand across all key business lines.
- H1 2025 net profit: UAH 3.57 billion
- Q2 2025 net profit: UAH 2.02 billion, up 19.4% year-over-year
- Equity: UAH 25.34 billion, a 14% increase since the beginning of the year
- Total assets: UAH 193.7 billion, up 3.8% over the same period
“These results reflect the daily, coordinated effort of our entire team. We work to remain a stable and reliable bank for our clients and to support both businesses and individuals in challenging times. Even under difficult conditions, we continue to grow and fulfill our role within the country’s financial system,” said PUMB’s CEO, Serhiy Chernenko.
Customer trust remains strong: total client funds stand at UAH 160.2 billion, including UAH 59.9 billion in individual deposits and UAH 100.3 billion in corporate customer accounts. Year-over-year growth in client funds exceeded 4%.
Loan portfolio: UAH 78.8 billion, split between retail (UAH 18.98 billion) and corporate (UAH 59.9 billion). Overall credit growth was 17.8% since the start of the year—placing PUMB among the top‑5 Ukrainian banks by total loan portfolio. Annual growth in the retail portfolio significantly exceeds market average, driven by competitive credit products tailored for consumer needs.
During Q2 2025, PUMB paid UAH 1.2 billion in corporate income tax. Since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion, the bank has contributed over UAH 15 billion in taxes.
As a result of these strong financials, in June 2025 Ukraine’s central bank reaffirmed PUMB’s status as a systemically important bank.
Recognition and accolades:
- PUMB’s CEO, Serhiy Chernenko, was included in the “Top Managers of Ukraine 2025” ranking by Focus magazine, and among the top-five CEOs in Ukraine according to Delo.ua.
