UAH 100,000 for children with cancer from the PUMBRUN running club

PUMBRUN running club was created in early 2020 by a team of like-minded people. Its purpose is not only the physical development of employees, the formation of a culture of healthy living, but also to help children who have suffered from a serious illness. All trainings of FUIB team members are recorded in the Strava application, summed up and paid for. The bank pays for one workout – a run of above 3 km. Gradually, the amount accumulates.

Even the pandemic did not hinder the existence of the club and the achievement of its goal. Since the beginning of the year, our 145 runners have trained 4,600 times. This is more than 42,000 kilometers of improved health and 100,000 hryvnias collected for the purchase of medicines for children with cancer. FUIB transferred these funds to the Tabletochki Foundation supporting Children with cancer.

All employees of the bank were also able to join the important goal of the team – they visited the magical "Health Gift Store" of the Tabletochki Foundation and bought the most important gifts for the sick children: medicines, consumables, consultations with a psychologist, etc. We collected in a few days more than 24,000 UAH. Support of Tabletochki is a chance for children in cancer departments to recover, defeat cancer, and return to childhood.

“For the third year in a row, the FUIB team has been helping children with cancer from all over Ukraine. And even quarantine and distance did not prevent them from continuing to be close to the children and support them on the way to recovery," said Svitlana Puhach, strategic partnerships director at the Tabletochki charity foundation. "Cancer is long and exhausting, it cannot be defeated alone. But despite the challenges of quarantine, FUIB's employees continued to help, and children with cancer continued to fight because they had everything they needed. I am proud of the openness and kindness of the entire FUIB team and I believe that together we will definitely beat children's cancer."

Tabletochki is the largest foundation for helping children with cancer in Ukraine. The foundation works in four directions: targeted assistance to families, systematic assistance to pediatric cancer departments, protection of the interests of Ukrainian patients and professional development of medical staff. Every month, more than 400 children and 19 children's oncology wards across Ukraine are under the care of the foundation. During the foundation's work, more than 4,500 families received targeted assistance.
