Financial markets overview 24.09.2012

In Europe, an issue for discussion was the problem of possible refusal on the part of debtor-countries to accept aid of the European Union. Despite their difficult economic standing, national Governments are presently
discussing the issue of financial assistance without any enthusiasm, because acceptance of assistance will mean the institution of strict budget economy, which raises dissatisfaction among the public and makes Governments unpopular. Governments of debtor-countries made it clear that they would ask for help when their standing was entirely bad. In particular, Italy and Spain will wait for a new leap in yields of their government securities.
