PUMB Joins the New Phase of the Human Capital Resilience Charter
During the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2026 (URC 2026) in Gdańsk, the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine, together with leading Ukrainian banks, signed a Letter of Intent to advance the Human Capital Resilience Charter. On behalf of PUMB, the document was signed by Serhii Chernenko, Chairman of the Management Board.
Launched in 2025, the Human Capital Resilience Charter serves as a platform for promoting responsible employment practices, advancing modern HR standards, supporting an inclusive labour market, and strengthening Ukraine's human capital during the war and throughout the country's recovery. The new phase of the initiative marks the transition from a shared vision to the practical implementation of the Charter's principles. Planned initiatives include the creation of the HCR Toolkit Library with practical HR solutions for employers, the establishment of the Banking Committee of the Charter, and the development of assessment tools to measure companies' implementation of responsible employment practices.
"It is a great honour for PUMB to join the new phase of the Human Capital Resilience Charter. During the war, people have become Ukraine's greatest strength and most valuable asset. It is thanks to the professionalism, resilience and dedication of Ukrainians that businesses, the financial system and the country's economy continue to operate.
We believe that today the responsibility of an employer extends far beyond creating jobs. It also means supporting people, helping them develop their potential, fostering an inclusive workplace, and assisting those returning to civilian life after military service. We must do everything possible to preserve and develop Ukraine's human capital, as it will become the foundation of the country's post-war recovery and future economic growth," said Serhii Chernenko, Chairman of the Management Board of PUMB.
At PUMB, we believe that developing human capital is one of the key drivers of Ukraine's economic resilience. That is why the Bank will continue supporting initiatives aimed at promoting responsible employment, inclusivity, and creating opportunities for people's professional growth.
