In 2025, FUIB acted as a financial partner in supporting innovative developments of 16 students and 4 postgraduates of KAI and KPI aimed at strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities. As part of the project, the bank invested in the most promising student engineering solutions, contributing to the creation of the future human resource reserve of the state.

FUIB Bank, together with the State University "Kyiv Aviation Institute" (KAI) and the National Technical University of Ukraine "Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute" (KPI), implemented a program to support the current innovative developments of gifted students and postgraduates with scholarships. The total investment amounted to 1.6 million hryvnias.

The goal of the program is to form a personnel reserve of engineers and technical specialists who, during their studies, demonstrate ready-made developments and are able to work with defense technologies. Students and postgraduates of KAI and KPI traditionally demonstrate a high level of technical training. Among the 20 supported innovative developments are a digital flight simulator, a drone detector, a drone interceptor, an evacuation robotic ground complex, an intelligent runway condition monitoring system, etc.

Roman Gorb, Head of the Department for Work with Large Corporate Clients of FUIB, noted: "For FUIB, investments in young talented developers are investments in the security and technological future of the country. Supporting students and postgraduates of KAI and KPI makes it possible to implement innovative developments in the field of defense, improve the practical competencies of young specialists, and allow young people to build their future in Ukraine".

The developments supported within the program will be further used to strengthen Ukraine's defense and defense capabilities. The most successful participants will have the opportunity to join defense and technological structures, contributing to the development of critical technologies and ensuring the stability and security of our state.

Artem Tselikov, Manager of Scientific and Technical Cooperation with Business and Coordinator of the FUIB Scholarship Program at KAI, noted: “This year we selected 10 winners from 24 candidates — the competition was really high, which confirms the great interest of young people in engineering and applied developments. For some, the scholarship became an opportunity to fully focus on research without thinking about financial challenges, and for others — a chance to invest in the necessary equipment and materials. It is especially valuable to see how these ideas turn into tangible progress in hardware and code in a matter of months. We believe in the potential of the program and are open to expanding cooperation with FUIB and other partners".

Oksana Zakharchenko, Director of the Department of Educational Work of KPI, noted: "Currently, the country's defense capability is in the first place for everyone. Cooperation between KPI and FUIB indicates that business actually invests in future specialists who, even during their studies, demonstrate a high level of competence and readiness to work with high-tech solutions. For universities, this increases the prestige of educational programs, and for the state, it creates the prerequisites for the stable development of strategic industries. Commercial support for education seekers is an important tool for improving the quality of specialist training, accelerating innovation, and strengthening the competitiveness of the state. The example of cooperation between FUIB and KPI demonstrates an effective model of interaction in which all parties benefit: students receive resources and opportunities, universities receive the development of scientific schools, business receives promising personnel, and the state receives technological reinforcement and the intellectual potential of the future".
