25 oxygen concentrators will be received by the City Hospital No. 6 of the Zaporizhia City Council, Pavlograd Intensive Care Hospital of the Pavlograd City Council, Pershotravensk City Hospital of the Pershotravensk City Council, Kryvyi Rih City Hospital No. 11 of the Kryvyi Rih City Council, City Hospital No. 9 of the Zaporizhzhia City Council.

Oxygen concentrators are needed for the treatment of patients with moderate severity of the disease. 10-liter oxygen concentrator KSOC-5 by Jiangsu Konsung Bio-Medical Science and Technology Co. Ltd. can simultaneously provide two patients who need oxygen support during COVID-19 treatment. This safe to use and energy-saving model of oxygen concentrator will be useful even after the pandemic: it can be used to treat not only respiratory diseases, but also cardiovascular and cerebral vascular systems diseases and hypoxia.

"FUIB does not stay away from the problems of society, supporting hospitals in the difficult fight against COVID-19. Together with the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation, the bank delivered 25 oxygen concentrators to 5 hospitals in 2 regions. In total, we transfer 140 concentrators to 27 hospitals in different regions of Ukraine. These are our people and our country. We live and work here. We want the transferred equipment to help Ukrainians to recover, and the medical system of Ukraine to develop," said Margaryta Terekhova, Deputy Manager of the FUIB Regional Center in Zaporizhzhia.

"In the treatment of coronavirus disease, it is extremely important to provide oxygen to patients with severe flow. Oxygen significantly improves the quality of treatment, increases the chances of a quick and complete recovery. Thanks to FUIB and the Foundation for supporting our hospital in the fight against COVID-19. You help to save lives", noted director of City hospital No. 6 Iryna Vitsyna.

"Our community is doing everything possible to fight the pandemic - providing hospitals and doctors with equipment and protection. But such a high incidence is a challenge for our medical system. Support by local business is very important to us. The partnership between the community, FUIB and the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation is an example of combining the efforts of government, business and a charity fund to combat the spread of coronavirus disease. Together we are able to overcome the pandemic and save the lives of our citizens," said Deputy Mayor of Zaporizhzhia Anatoliy Pustovarov.

We would like to remind that in early December, FUIB, in partnership with the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation, transferred high-quality ventilator to the intensive care unit of Kyiv City Clinical Hospital No.4. And in the spring of 2020, we purchased medical equipment and personal protective gear for hospitals in Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi, Ternopil, Donetsk and Luhansk regions. A total of 156 hospitals in Eastern and Western Ukraine received aid. The bank and the Foundation handed over to medical facilities 2 ventilators, 2 invasive patient monitors, more than 47,000 protective suits, 4,400 personal protective gear kits, 1,200 sanitizers, and 650 pulse oximeters. In addition, the bank provided 1,500 doctors in 9 reference hospitals at its own expense with StopCoronavirus insurance.

When Ukraine faced the pandemic, Rinat Akhmetov was the first to come to the help. He combined the resources of the Charitable Foundation, DTEK, FC Shakhtar and other SCM assets. Due to this, 300 million hryvnias were allocated to help the country in the fight against coronavirus. This is the largest contribution of one philanthropist to public medicine. For effective work, the Foundation created the Fighting COVID-19 in Ukraine project, which became part of the Rinat Akhmetov - Saving Lives program. The project has no analogues in the country. This is the largest, most systematic and large-scale private initiative aimed at helping public health facilities to fight coronavirus.
