With the support of FUIB, DonorUA launches the next stage of the project to help hospitals in the fight against COVID-19
DonorUA AID - Stop Coronavirus is a transparent common platform for hospitals, suppliers, charitable foundations and businesses, which allows uninterrupted provision with personal protective gear and equipment of medical facilities where coronavirus patients are treated.
As of today, we have opened registration for hospitals, so they can leave applications for things they need, and companies - using a comprehensible and clear algorithm - to purchase and transfer the necessary means or equipment.
“We can see that the coronavirus is not retreating. Same as at the beginning of the pandemic, hospitals need significant support that the state cannot provide on its own. Therefore, we decided to create a clear and simple tool for all stakeholders. It is important for us that the business can easily find the need, buy the necessities from reliable suppliers and transfer them to the hospital or choose to help a charitable foundation. We are grateful to FUIB for supporting the project,” said Oleksandr Krakovetskyi, co-founder and CTO of DonorUA.
"FUIB - as a responsible business - could not stay away from a serious problem of society - the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic - and actively participated in its solution. The bank, in partnership with the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation, supported 156 Ukrainian hospitals in 6 regions; FUIB created a new product for doctors - the coronavirus insurance - and insured 1,500 medical workers at its own expense. Support for the development of an online platform for hospital care is a logical and systematic completion of the bank's anti-crisis project to help Ukraine's medical system. We hope that DonorUA Aid will become a reliable assistant to medical institutions, businesses, suppliers and charitable foundations,” noted Serhiy Chernenko, FUIB's chairman of the board.
During the test period of the DonorUA AID - Stop Coronavirus project, 18 medical institutions from Kyiv, Kyiv and Donetsk regions registered their needs on the platform. Business representatives closed 8 applications from hospitals and delivered masks, disposable gowns, non-contact thermometers and one lung ventilator.
The plans for development of the DonorUA AID online platform include placing requirements for personal protective equipment for doctors and medical equipment, a database of documents for coordinating effective cooperation among businesses, charitable foundations, health care facilities and suppliers, as well as links to useful websites for cooperation, etc.
The DonorUA AID platform will also be able to work successfully after the COVID-19 pandemic. It will solve the problem of gathering the needs of hospitals, disseminating information about them among socially responsible businesses and volunteers, as well as coordinating care to hospitals.
