First Ukrainian International Bank (FUIB) starts supporting contactless payments with Android Pay App in Ukraine. From the 12th of December 2017 all cardholders of Mastercard from FUIB will join international standardized banking services and will be able to make contactless payments using their smartphones with Android mobile operating system.

“FUIB is the first private bank with Ukrainian capital providing integration with Android Pay application. The strategy of FUIB is focused on active transformation and implementation of a range of innovative projects serving to increase the level of service quality and maintainability,” Serhii Chernenko, the Chairman of the Board, member of the Supervisory Board of FUIB, commented. “The launch of Android Pay service in Ukraine indicates high level of technology development in our country and integration of Ukraine into the global map of innovative solutions and inventions.”

Android Pay for FUIB clients operates on the basis of the global platform of tokenization – Mastercard (MDES). It helps to transform connected devices, for example, a smartphone with NFC chip into a safe payment tool with the help of a special encrypted key – a token.

In order to use the advantages of Android Pay system, all smartphones owners with OS Android 4.4 or higher and with NFC technology support should install a free application Android Pay from Google Play Market. The clients should insert FUIB Mastercard information and thus they will be able to make contactless payments at POS terminals. FUIB clients will have an opportunity to experience all advantages of contactless payments during shopping. It takes seconds to unlock a mobile device and to bring it to the terminal.

Ukraine became the 15th country to launch Google’s Android Pay service.
