A special SIDLETSKIY screening took place at UFW in collaboration with the FUIB platform "Live towards"

FUIB Bank continues to work on the integration of wounded veterans and veterans into all spheres of our lives. The platform “Live towards” initiated by the bank and the SIDLETSKIY brand held a show of the designer’s new collection, which was complemented by special accessories – stylish overlays for prostheses. In addition to professional models, five war veterans and a civilian girl who lost their limbs as a result of the war took to the podium.
Since the beginning of the full-scale war in Ukraine, there have been significantly more people who have survived severe injuries and amputations - both military and civilian. Tens of thousands of Ukrainians today use prosthetic limbs. It is a normal part of their life and appearance. Can a prosthesis be a part of a person's style, and not just a functional medical device that they try to hide?
The SIDLETSKIY show with the support of "Live towards", Timelapse, U+System and Yanko Foundation, which took place on September 6 as part of Ukrainian Fashion Week, gave an affirmative answer to this question.
The brand presented the "Woven by Nature" collection, some of the images of which were created taking into account the experience of people who use prostheses every day. For the first time, the collection of adaptive clothing was supplemented by special accessories: replaceable covers for prostheses, which allow you to integrate the prosthesis into your bow, make it an accent of the image or a stylish addition.
The overlays for the collection were created by the veteran business Timelapse, which was founded by former combat medic Gleb Beshkarev, and now an entrepreneur and winner of the second season of the educational grant program "Living Towards". Specially for the Timelapse show, overlays were made that repeat the visual language of the collection - through shape, texture and natural motifs.
The show of the unique collection was attended by five veterans who underwent prosthetics and rehabilitation at U+System, as well as a civilian resident of Dobropill, Olga Dolga, who lost her leg as a result of a Russian airstrike.
Their appearance on the catwalk is not just a way to present adaptive clothing, but also a convincing demonstration: adaptive fashion should and can be an organic part of fashion culture.
There was not a single free seat at the show, and the guests followed the bows with interest and greeted the exit of the models with prostheses with loud applause. And this is the best confirmation that the integration of veterans and the development of an inclusive society is a movement towards each other.
