The UAnimals evacuation bus, co-financed by FUIB, is already saving lives

In the spring, FUIB supported the UAnimals collection for a new evacuation vehicle, transferring UAH 1.6 million for the purchase of the vehicle. The need for new transport arose after a bus evacuating animals from frontline areas was destroyed by a russian drone in December 2025. The new evacuation bus is already saving the lives of animals.

For the UAnimals team, the destroyed transport means the loss of several hundred animal lives per month. Currently, the transferred evacuation bus is performing its main function - it allows the UAnimals team to continue traveling to dangerous regions and taking animals out of there. The evacuation bus was named Gaur. For FUIB, it is important to support saving lives, because equipment can be restored, but lost lives cannot. Every life is priceless.

The UAnimals team regularly works in the Donetsk, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy, Zaporizhia and other regions, where animals are unable to get to a safe place on their own due to hostilities.

The new evacuation bus has already made several trips. For example, at the end of August, the UAnimals team evacuated 28 dogs, 10 cats and a guinea pig from the Donetsk region during one of its trips. In total, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the organization has evacuated 10,831 animals. After evacuation, the animals are taken to veterinary clinics, shelters, or given to families. The animals receive medical care and quality food.

FUIB has been supporting UAnimals since 2023. The cooperation began with helping animals affected by the explosion of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station and continues with projects aimed at saving animals in regions suffering from war.

Protecting the weak is the business of the strong.
