How 7927 clicks in the FUIB mobile app turned into innovative checkpoint equipment

Digital charity in action: FUIB Bank reports on the first results of the updated project "Not Just Skins" and transfers UAH 254,752 to the Solomyanski Kotyki Foundation. These funds are converted into high-tech equipment for blood transfusion right on the battlefield - in particular, into consumables for warming blood, which save soldiers in the most critical conditions.
In April alone, users of the FUIB mobile application installed 7,927 charity skins, generating UAH 79,270. These funds were pooled from last year's balances (UAH 175,820) and directed to cover the first critical needs of the front. Thanks to this large tranche in the amount of UAH 254,752, combat medics are already receiving:
- 46 heating systems for portable Belmont Buddy Lite heaters;
- 30 heating systems for Ranger 3M devices;
- 12 unique three-channel cassettes for stationary Belmont Rapid Infuser infusion pumps.
The initiative does not stop: during May, the bank's clients updated the card design another 8,081 times, adding another UAH 80,810 to the charity piggy bank. Right now, the Solomianski Kotyki Foundation team is accumulating new specific requests from units on the front line in order to convert the May tranche into the next batch of vital medical supplies as efficiently as possible.
Special request from the front: speed equals survival
The request for equipment came from the First Separate Medical Battalion, the National Police Joint Assault Brigade “Lyut” and the 66th Military Mobile Hospital. Medics working at the pre-hospital stage especially need cassettes for Belmont Rapid Infuser devices. This is “aerobatics” equipment, which is used in cases of massive blood loss, when seconds count.
Its main advantage is tremendous speed: the device is able to infuse and instantly warm blood from the refrigerator (from 4 °C to body temperature) at a speed of up to 1 liter per minute. The first drops at the exit into the vein are already warm, which eliminates the risk of fatal hypothermia of a wounded soldier.
One such three-channel cassette costs UAH 11,830, but it is it that allows you to buy time in the fight for life.
How to continue to convert clicks into medical
The mechanics of the “Not Just Skins” project prove that helping the army can be simple and systematic. Bank clients change the charitable design of their card in the mobile application every month, and FUIB will transfer funds for purchases for paramedics. Every 200 downloaded skins is one paid basic cassette for warming blood.
You can track the progress of the project and the amount of equipment purchased directly on the page lifesavingmerch.com.ua/skins. In addition, charity merch is raffled off among all participants every month — t-shirts, shoppers, and long-sleeve shirts.
