Thanks to the partnership between PUMB and Visa, a modern Ukrainian Christmas musical, “Zhyv Pes Sirko”, will premiere on the MEGOGO platform. The project offers a fresh take on a beloved folk tale, reimagined as a family comedy with contemporary humor, musical performances, and a true festive atmosphere. The premiere is scheduled for December 24.

The project combines a classic Ukrainian story with a modern creative approach, creating a warm Christmas tale for the whole family. For well-known comedian and screenwriter Vasyl Baidak, the musical marks his directorial debut in a feature-length format. He co-wrote the screenplay together with Yurii Karahodin.

More than 50 renowned Ukrainian actors, musicians, and popular artists took part in the musical inspired by the folk tale “Once There Was a Dog”. The cast includes POSITIFF, Mark Kutsevalov, Yurii Tkach, Oleh Skrypka, Kateryna Pavlenko, Nataliia Haripova, Anatolii Anatolich, Daniela Zaiushkina, as well as the bands Badstreet Boys and “Vkhid u Zminnomu Vzutti.” Celebrity cameos and musical numbers add to the festive spirit and make the musical a vibrant choice for family viewing.

Filming took place at the Mamayeva Sloboda Museum, which became an important element of the film’s visual language and emphasized Ukrainian authenticity. Special winter sets, original musical numbers, and new songs were created specifically for the production, including the main track “This Is Not a Dream”, performed by POSITIFF and Yuliia Yurina.

For PUMB, participation in the project is part of its broader strategy to support Ukrainian culture, education, and social initiatives. The collaboration with MEGOGO strengthens the bank’s festive communication and once again demonstrates how a brand can go beyond traditional banking to create emotional and cultural value for society.

For PUMB, it is important to be close to people not only in solving financial matters, but also in moments that create a sense of home, warmth, and unity. Supporting the Christmas musical ‘Zhyv Pes Sirko’ is another contribution to the development of modern Ukrainian culture. Projects like this help Ukrainians stay connected to their cultural roots and bring smiles, even in such challenging times,”
said Kseniia Sikorska, Marketing Director at PUMB.

Christmas is a special time when we strive to create new shared memories and support what brings light and warmth. At Visa, we value the opportunity to join a project that so skillfully combines Ukrainian cultural heritage with the dynamics of contemporary art. Supporting the musical ‘Zhyv Pes Sirko’ is our contribution to a collection of family emotions and authentic content that not only entertains but also strengthens cultural identity. We believe this sincere story will become an important part of the holiday tradition for many Ukrainian families,”
commented Anastasiia Nenasheva, Senior Marketing Director at Visa for Eastern and Southeastern Europe, Central Asia, and the Caucasus.

By supporting the Christmas musical “Zhyv Pes Sirko,” PUMB and Visa contribute to the creation of modern Ukrainian stories for the whole family. The project brings together tradition, humor, and festive spirit, making Ukrainian content an integral part of shared Christmas moments.
