On December 16, 2025, the presentation of the photo book "Eyes of War"—a joint project by photographers Konstantin and Vlada Liberov and FUIB Bank—took place at the M17 Contemporary Art Center in Kyiv.

The presentation format resembled a living book: guests got acquainted with the publication and its authors, gradually turning the pages — from 2022 to the present day — through photographs, poetic texts, and music.

Partnership for memory and the future

Speaking at the beginning of the event, FUIB Marketing Director Ksenia Sikorska spoke about culture as an important support in times of war: "Today, Ukrainian culture sounds louder than ever. It helps us get through difficult times, reflect and not lose ourselves. It is important for FUIB to be part of this movement — to support not only the army, but also that which preserves our identity, memory and inspires us to create something new."

That is why the bank supported the publication and presented a book by the Odessa couple, whose photographs are known all over the world. It is symbolic that Konstantin and Vlada Liberov have been honorary ambassadors of many FUIB projects since 2023.
The authors shared what prompted them to create the book: "We have accumulated so many photo facts that it will be enough for a full-fledged story, which is important to remember so that it never repeats itself. We saw fatigue, fear, losses, which were imprinted on the pages of the publication. But at the same time, this book is about our changes, strength and hope. About different, often polar feelings and emotions."

Kostya and Vlad emphasized that the title — “Eyes of War” — has a special meaning: “It is not about us, we are not the eyes of war. We felt that war has its own eyes and looks at the viewer. Through our photographs, war seems to say: “I exist. See me.”

During the presentation, guests witnessed a performance: the Liberovs’ photographs were accompanied by poems by poet Darya Lisich, written especially for the event, and live music by composer and singer Vladislava Buchko. Through images and texts, the audience traveled from the shock and uncertainty of 2022 — through loss, resilience, and fatigue — to the present, where history is still being written.

About the book

"Eyes of War" is a photo chronicle of events from 2022 to the present day. The book brings together 280 photographs that Konstantin and Vlada Liberov consider the most important in their work over these years — from photographic records of the first months of the full-scale invasion to images taken in various regions engulfed in war.

The footage shows trenches on the front line, destroyed cities, evacuations, hospitals and shelters. But above all, people: military and civilians, doctors and rescuers, mothers and wives, sons and brothers. Those who continue the fight and those whom the war has taken forever.

The structure of the book has a clear semantic logic:

  • the section “The Struggle of the Military” tells about ordinary people with extraordinary stories;
  • “Da Vinci” is dedicated to the Hero of Ukraine, the legendary commander Dmytro Kotsiubayl;
  • “The New War” captures the impact of technology on modern combat operations;
  • “Prisoners” reveals the inner strength of those who are waiting for them and those who do not lose faith in waiting;
  • “The Struggle of Civilians” is about our daily resistance to the invaders;
  • and, of course, “Hope?” — in every “I love you”, “I will not leave you”, “together we will cope” and “everything will be fine”.

Guests of the presentation received exclusive copies of the book autographed by the authors. The free edition of "Eyes of War" will be available in March 2026.

By supporting this project, FUIB emphasizes its position: to be not an outside observer, but a participant in preserving memory and creating a common tomorrow. Since the first days of the war, the bank has actively supported the army, Ukrainians, and the state as a whole: it directs funds to the needs of the army, develops a culture of blood donation, helps veterans integrate, and invests in business, education, and culture of the country. After all, the future of future generations depends on each of us.
