«Повернення вкладів» у застосунку Дія: за два роки виплачено понад 48 млн грн

On 3 October 2025, it has been two years since the Deposit Guarantee Fund of Individuals (the Fund), together with the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, launched the “Deposit Refunds” service in the Diia mobile application. During this period, 3.9 thousand transactions worth over UAH 48.1 million have been processed through Diia, ensuring payments to individuals and sole proprietors for their deposits and current account balances.
“At the beginning of the full-scale war, the issue of depositors’ access to their funds became extremely urgent. People displaced within Ukraine or abroad could not physically visit bank branches. That’s why we developed an online payment system through the Diia mobile application. There are no restrictions on such payments. Depositors anywhere in Ukraine or the world can access their money. Today, almost 50% of payouts are made online, and we can say with confidence that deposit refunds in Diia are not just about convenience — they are about trust in the state, which continues to fulfil its obligations to citizens despite the challenges,” said Olha Bilai, Managing Director of the Deposit Guarantee Fund of Individuals.
In total, more than 2.9 thousand depositors of banks under liquidation by the Fund have used this online payment service.
“Today, more than 23 million Ukrainians use Diia. It is a convenient tool for various life situations — from starting a business to accessing services for veterans. Two years ago, we launched the ‘Deposit Refunds’ service, which allows people to quickly and conveniently receive guaranteed compensation for deposits in bankrupt banks. This service proves that even the most complex processes can be completed in just a few clicks. This is exactly how a digital state should work,” noted Mykhailo Fedorov, First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.
“This initiative is of exceptional importance, especially in wartime, when quick and secure access to one’s own funds is critically important. For PUMB, digitalization is one of the key priorities, and we are proud to be among the first banks that joined the implementation of the ‘Deposit Refunds’ service in Diia from day one. Such projects clearly demonstrate that the country is moving confidently along the path of digital transformation, while we as a bank actively support this course, providing our clients with simple and reliable solutions even in the most challenging times,” added Serhiy Chernenko, CEO of PUMB.
How to receive compensation in the Diia app:

- choose the bankrupt bank where the account was opened (if funds are held in several such banks, the procedure must be repeated for each bank separately);
- select the єPidtrymka card (issued by one of the partner agent banks) to receive the funds, or open a new єPidtrymka card directly in the app;
- review and confirm the information, including the available payout amount;
- sign the application using Diia.Signature (Diia.Pidpys).
- After this, the application is sent to the agent bank for processing, and the funds are transferred to the depositor almost immediately.
