Bird decoration in the kintsugi technique from the project «We Are of the Same Blood» will help treat burns and scars

Social project from FUIB Bank «We Are of the Same Blood» in partnership with the TSVITE TEREN brand presents a special decoration created to support people with burns and scars. 50% of its cost will be transferred to the «Neopalimi» – program of the national charity initiative, which deals with external rehabilitation and treats deformation injuries, burns and scars. 

Decoration «Beauty that remembers» – is a ceramic bird, broken and reassembled in the traditional Japanese technique of kintsugi restoration. It symbolizes rebirth and restoration while preserving uniqueness: how people rebuild themselves after injuries. A broken and reassembled bird reminds how the victims overcome difficulties and how they find integrity.

With this cooperation, «We Are of the Same Blood» initiates a new direction – assistance to Ukrainians who received burns and injuries as a result of the war: surgical/plastic operations, rehabilitation procedures for victims of the war. Within the framework of the project «We Are of the Same Blood», the following areas of support are already successfully working: the purchase of equipment for paramedics, tactical medicine for defenders, the organization of open donations to help the wounded, sewing and the transfer of adaptive clothing to evacuation trains and hospitals. The project has already saved almost 200,000 lives.

«The war has brought many challenges to Ukrainians, including the – severe injuries that people across the country receive every day. «We Are of the Same Blood» – is a social project that unites business, brands and organizations, and most importantly – people who support each other. We strive not only to create things with meaning, but also to provide real opportunities for recovery after losses», – shares the project team.

Ambassadors of the new decoration were: veteran and border guard Yehor Babenko, who was seriously injured during shelling in 2022; Nadiya Oksyuta with her daughter Alisa, who were injured during the fall of a rotorcraft in Brovary; 17-year-old Tetyana Bezverkha from Sumy Oblast, who was injured by an enemy drone. In the video with the heroes of the campaign, the poet Daria Lisich recites the poem «I became love». 

«Decoration «Beauty that remembers» – is not just an accessory, but a symbol of restoration and return of integrity. It supports those who are just now collecting themselves and their lives from fragments», – say the heroes of the project.

The project will transfer 50% of the cost of each ordered bird decoration to the «Neopalimi» program for the treatment and rehabilitation of people with war injuries – burns and scars.
