FUIB signed Pact for Youth - 2025. The bank has joined forces with other companies, the state and educational organizations to create internship programs and jobs to start careers of young people. The document also aims to facilitate the employment of university graduates by signatories and provide mentoring support for students.
The agreement is designed to unite the efforts of interested companies, the state and educational authorities for the professional realization of young people. One of the main conditions for the signatories of the Pact is the creation of internship and employment programs for university graduates as well as mentoring support for professional implementation and partnerships between business and the education sector concerning the quality of education. The agreement was initiated by the Centre for CSR Development Ukraine together with United Nations Population Fund and Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine.
"Innovative financial institutions need highly qualified professionals who will be knowledgeable in analytics, economics and digital spheres. That is why the support and development of young people is the basic level of business' work, which is aimed at sustainable development," said Tetyana Kostyuchenko, Deputy Chairman of the Board for FUIB Personnel.
The signing of the Pact for Youth once again declares FUIB's position and values. After all, the company is constantly working to create programs for young people. So, this year the team implemented a new free educational project - the Academy of Analytics for Ukrainian students and graduates of technical universities.
The project aroused great interest among students. Over 2,000 entry applications were submitted. The workshops were conducted by mentors - FUIB's leading experts in various fields of analytics, as well as professors of the Kyiv School of Economics (KSE). In one month, students gained practical skills in working with databases based on real cases with depersonalized data. 80 participants completed the pilot course and received the relevant certificates; 19 of them were invited to work in FUIB.
It is planned to continue the project. Details of the next enrollment will be announced in the spring of 2022.
"There are many talented young people in Ukraine who are looking for an opportunity to apply their knowledge in practice. We are interested in teaching, supporting and developing students. That is why we implement such projects as the FUIB Academy of Analytics and actively recruit young people in other areas. The signing of the Pact for Youth is a continuation of what FUIB is doing, said Svitlana Tykhonenko, Head of FUIB's Brand Development Department. We hope that such an initiative will inspire other companies to make costly projects aimed at investing in young professionals. After all, we strive for sustainable business and country development."
Maryna Saprykina, Chairman of the Board of Centre for CSR Development Ukraine, noted: "The purpose of the Pact is to unite the efforts of companies, the state, the public and international partners for the sake of quality and barrier-free professional realization of youth in Ukraine. We are glad that our community is growing, and together we hope to create even more opportunities for Ukrainian youth."
Interestingly, currently, 16% of the total number of personnel at FUIB are people aged 18 to 25 years. This confirms that the bank as an employer is really focused on young people and promotes their development and career growth.
