FUIB has become a partner of the NBU's campaign on safety of cash payments

The All-Ukrainian information campaign on safety of cash payments called Anatomy of the Hryvnia has been launched by the National Bank of Ukraine in partnership with banks.
The aim of the campaign is to teach Ukrainians how to quickly check the authenticity of hryvnia banknotes and remind the populations which banknotes and coins are in circulation and which are no longer accepted for payment.
As part of this information campaign, the National Bank and its partners will inform Ukrainians where to exchange withdrawn, worn-out, damaged, doubtful banknotes and coins, as well as tell about the elements of protection of the national currency.
Despite the spread of cashless payments, cash continues to be widely used in Ukraine, so the protection and reliability of cash currency should always be the focus of the central bank.
"The hryvnia protection system is at a high level and corresponds to the protection systems of the world's leading currencies. The Ukrainian hryvnia has modern innovative security features that allow you to simply verify the authenticity of the banknote visually and tactilely. You just need to know what to look for. In our information campaign, we will once again remind Ukrainians of the simple rules of cash payment safety," said Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of Ukraine Oleksiy Shaban.
FUIB supported the Anatomy of the Hryvnia campaign of the National Bank of Ukraine on the safety of cash payments.
"Cash payments will be relevant for part of the population for a long time, due to certain distrust towards electronic technologies and lack of awareness about the security of electronic payments and their benefits. The task of all banks of Ukraine, and especially of the Authorized Banks for Soring of NBU Values, such as FUIB, is to teach Ukrainians simple rules for determining the authenticity of banknotes and coins, to inform about changes in the coin and banknote series, terms of withdrawal of old banknotes and coins as well as to provide them with a service for the withdrawal of such notes and coins from circulation. We believe that this information campaign will help the bank's clients understand where they can exchange money without risks and how to make sure that the money is not counterfeit," said Nataliya Kosenko, FUIB's Deputy Chair of the Board.
The campaign will last from July to September 2021 in all regions of Ukraine. As part of the campaign, the National Bank is launching a special Anatomy of the Hryvnia landing page.
