Ukrtelekom and FUIB have brought into operation a backup data processing center

Ukrtelekom has completed the first project on the construction of an individual module in DPC. The operator performed works for the bank FUIB within a short time, namely within 4 months. On the basis of this module, the financial institution placed high-tech equipment, which will be incorporated into bank's corporate network through fiber-optic data transmission channels. The project will provide backup for bank's IT-infrastructure.

"Ukrtelekom has entered the market of the provision of individual modules in DPC for large corporate clients, and we are particularly pleased that such a solution satisfied one of the largest banks of Ukraine," shared Mykola Davydenko, development director of the corporate segment of the PJSC "Ukrtelecom". – We see the demand in the banking industry for the solutions for backup and fault tolerance of IT-infrastructure, and are planning to develop this area".

"Security and reliability of operations is the key competence of FUIB. Together with Ukrtelekom, FUIB has brought into operation a backup data processing center – one of the two DPCs of the bank. Currently, FUIB is one of the few financial institutions in Ukraine, which has its own data centers, located in safe and protected locations. This enables us to minimize risks related to data processing and storage as much as possible and to provide high reliability of all banking operations," pointed out Tomas Wisniewski, FUIB's Deputy Chairman of Board of operational activity.

Proper functioning of the equipment located at the data center is supported by all systems, appropriate for a modern data processing center, namely: guaranteed power supply, conditioning, security and monitoring system. Also, built individual module meets the requirements of the NBU on shielding.
