The Without Barriers initiative aims to create a society without obstacles. FUIB is already implementing changes that will make the business barrier-free for mobility impaired groups.

The Without Barriers initiative of the First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska is designed to create a society without obstacles, which provides equal rights and opportunities for all people in self-realization, employment, movement, services, education, communication, leisure, and development.

On October 26, eleven Ukrainian and international businesses joined the initiative. The Declaration on Business Accessibility was signed by: Visa, First Ukrainian International Bank (FUIB), Fairmont Grand Hotel Kyiv and Riviera House Group, PrivatBank, McDonald's Ukraine, Coca-Cola Ukraine, Foxtrot retail chain, EPAM Ukraine IT company, book platform Yakaboo, Silpo supermarket chain and Asters law firm.

At the meeting during the signing of the Declaration of the Business Without Barriers community, FUIB's Chairman of the Board Serhiy Chernenko stressed: "Business in Ukraine is old enough to talk not only about profits, but also about how it affects a society that supports values. We employ many people who at some point in their lives become mobility impaired  - during the birth of a child and caring for it or a long illness, immediately after graduation or reaching an senior age. The bank creates comfortable and flexible conditions for work, communication, study and career growth for everyone. We are opening more and more bank branches that are accessible to people with disabilities, we are developing new service standards for them. We are preparing for the launch of sustainable projects that will help attract mobility impaired Ukrainians to active public life."

Serhiy Chernenko is confident that barrier-free access will not only help achieve sustainable development goals such as reducing inequality, sustainable economic growth, creating sustainable infrastructure, but will also provide businesses with more opportunities for partnership and development, innovation, creating a healthy emotional climate and strengthening common values in the team.
