FUIB among Three Leaders in Transparency Index

FIRST UKRAINIAN INTERNATIONAL BANK (FUIB) is among three leaders in the Index of Transparency of Largest Banks in Ukraine published by the Centre for Corporate Social Responsibility Development (CCSRD).

Applying the methodology developed by Beyond Business (Israel) the analysts of CCSRD assessed the banks’ Internet sites as regards information disclosure and their activities in corporate social responsibility. Among the considered factors were the availability of the bank’s financial performance results, its sustainability report, the information about its owners and corporate governance, usability of the site, contact details, etc. According to the CCSRD experts the information disclosure rate by largest banks in Ukraine (20%) is higher than in other sectors already analysed in 2012 (IT sector, 10.4%; agriculture, 13.8%; pharmaceuticals, 10%)..

Last year FUIB was recognised the leader in the first Index of Transparency and Accountability of Companies that ranked financial institutions in Ukraine. The Index was initiated by the Ukraine National Initiatives to Enhance Reforms Project (UNITER) implemented by Pact and financed by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) to stimulate better information disclosure by companies.
