The new charitable collection "Generation 91" of the "We Are of the Same Blood" project transforms symbols of Independence into things with history and unites Ukrainians

35 years of Independence of Ukraine is not only a historical date, but also the experience of an entire generation. The generation formed by modern independent Ukraine, which learned about freedom and its protection, experienced turning points, losses and victories and continues to create the modern history of Ukraine. It is to this common identity that the new charitable collection “Generation 91” of the social project “We Are of the Same Blood”, created at the initiative of FUIB, is dedicated.
The collection dedicated to the 35th anniversary of Ukraine's Independence brought together four Ukrainian brands at once - CHER'17, GAPTUVALNYA, SOVA and Have A Rest. This collection is about a generation of people for whom Independence is part of their personal history. That is why "Generation 91" is not about the date of birth. It is about the common identity of all those who now live in independent Ukraine, born before or after 1991 and shaped by common events, challenges, victories and memory. Those who today determine what Ukraine will be like tomorrow.
The idea of the collection was born from the idea that Independence does not consist of one date. It is formed by thousands of moments, decisions, symbols, texts and people. That is why the new drop does not create new symbols - it rethinks those that have already become part of modern Ukrainian history.
For the first time, four Ukrainian brands have united within one drop. Not just to make a joint collection. But to show: like Independence, this story consists of different voices, different styles, and different meanings.
The collection is built around four main images.
1. WORD
GAPTUVALNYA transfers the words of the Act of Proclamation of Independence of Ukraine onto the fabric. The text that once changed the history of the state is now literally woven into an embroidered shirt, reminding us that great changes begin with a word.
2. HISTORY. MOMENT
CHER'17 turns to the moment of the birth of modern Ukraine. The T-shirt features an archival shot of photographer Pavlo Pashchenko with Levko Lukyanenko after the Verkhovna Rada proclaimed the independence of Ukraine. Documentary photography becomes not only historical evidence, but also a symbol of the beginning of a new era.
3. BIRTH
Have A Rest created a shopper with a symbolic tag "Generation 91", stylized as a name tag for a newborn. Just as a child receives the first document of his birth, modern Ukrainian independence received its own birthday.
4. SYMBOL. IDENTITY
SOVA reinterprets the international code of Ukraine - UA. In a silver ornament with the engraving "Generation 91", this sign receives a new reading: UA = YOU ARE Generation 91. This is a reminder of belonging to the generation that is shaping the future of the country today.
All items are united by the common sign "Generation 91", which appears on each product regardless of the brand. It unites individual items into a single story.
The faces of the campaign are people who experience Ukrainian Independence in different ways, but together form a portrait of the modern generation. These are writer Serhiy Zhadan, Shevchenko Prize laureate, singer and songwriter Jamala, Hero of Ukraine, pilot Vadim Voroshilov ("Karaya") and ten-year-old gymnast Oleksandra Paskal, who lost a limb during Russian shelling.
Especially for the project, Serhiy Zhadan created a poem that became the manifesto of the campaign. He united its heroes, brands and the main idea: Independence is born every day thanks to people.
Like all collections of the “We Are of the Same Blood” project, “Generation 91” has a charitable purpose: 50% of the cost of each order FUIB directs to the purchase of hemostatic agents for tactical medicine, equipment for paramedics and blood storage and transfusion systems for stabilization points.
“Generation 91” is more than charitable merch. This is a collection about memory, identity and responsibility. About a generation that did not receive Independence as a given, but continues to create it every day.
The collection is available online on the “We Are of the Same Blood” platform, in the project corner in TSUM, as well as in GAPTUVALNYA, SOVA and Have A Rest stores.
