PUMB’s Position Regarding the Decision of the National Bank of Ukraine
PUMB respects the decisions of the National Bank of Ukraine and places the highest priority on compliance with legislation in the field of financial monitoring. The Bank has thoroughly analysed the regulator’s observations and has already taken the necessary measures to improve the relevant internal procedures and controls.
At the same time, it is important to emphasise that these are isolated deficiencies identified as part of supervisory activities rather than systemic violations in the Bank’s operations. PUMB has a multi-layered financial monitoring system, continuously invests in the development of automated control tools and customer and transaction screening, and regularly updates its procedures in line with changes in legislation and regulatory requirements.
We would also like to emphasise that PUMB strictly complies with the restrictions established by law regarding dealings with individuals and companies linked to the aggressor state. Any deficiencies identified during inspections in customer due diligence procedures are thoroughly analysed and remedied.
PUMB continues its constructive engagement with the National Bank of Ukraine and consistently enhances its financial monitoring system in line with the regulator’s recommendations and requirements.
