PUMB Becomes a Partner of the National Development Institution and Gains Access to International Financing Programs
First Ukrainian International Bank (PUMB) has signed a partnership agreement with the National Development Institution (NDI), granting the bank access to international financing programs aimed at supporting Ukrainian businesses. The agreement was signed by Arthur Zagorodnikov, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of PUMB, and Andrii Hapon, Chairman of the Management Board of NDI.
As a result of this new status, PUMB will be eligible to participate in tenders to attract funding from international financial institutions for programs supporting micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises. These include programs of the Council of Europe Development Bank, the NDI for Ukraine initiative, as well as financing for projects focused on distributed power generation and improving the energy independence of businesses.
PUMB is currently cooperating with NDI under five state support programs, including "Affordable Loans 5-7-9%", "Affordable Leasing", "Affordable Factoring", and financing programs for enterprises in the defense-industrial sector. Under the "5-7-9%" program, the bank consistently ranks third among participating banks, with a portfolio of approximately UAH 55 billion.
"PUMB’s accession to our partner network is an important step in expanding opportunities for Ukrainian businesses. We work exclusively with banks that meet high standards of financial stability and operational quality. I am confident that this partnership will open a new chapter in the development of entrepreneurship support programs in Ukraine," said Andrii Hapon.
According to Arthur Zagorodnikov, obtaining NDI partner status is the result of the bank’s focused efforts and an important milestone in the implementation of its strategy.
"For PUMB, access to international financing programs is one of our strategic priorities. It creates new opportunities for recognition by international partners, attracting long-term funding, grant instruments, and risk-sharing mechanisms, enabling us to support Ukrainian entrepreneurs even more actively," commented Arthur Zagorodnikov.
PUMB became the ninth bank in Ukraine accredited by NDI to participate in international financing programs. This will enable the bank to expand its business support toolkit and offer clients even more opportunities to secure affordable financing for development and investment projects.
