FUIB and «Live towards» launch the second block of «Financial practicum» for veterans — «How to write a grant application»

To support veteran businesses, the platform "Live Towards" from FUIB Bank is launching a new module of the "Financial Workshop" — "How to Write a Grant Application for a Veteran Business", starting on October 14 under the guidance of expert Liya Kotyash.
For the first course of the "Fundamentals of Financial Literacy" program with lecturer Yelena Shepel, 74 applications were submitted, from which 10 participants were selected.
“Lena Shepel is a truly great trainer. She knows how to explain complex things in a simple way, and you can gain real insights from her. I always strive to improve, and after the course, I clearly see what I want to work on next. Thank you!” — shared a veteran, participant of the "Fundamentals of Financial Literacy" course.
Both participants of the previous course and newcomers can apply for the new program on equal competitive terms.
Why it matters
Grants are one of the most effective tools for launching and developing a veteran-owned business. However, a well-prepared application is the first and critically important step — and one where many promising projects are often eliminated. This is exactly what the new module of the workshop will focus on.
What we’ll cover in the course:
- what a grant is and how to determine if a program suits your business;
- how to formulate a business idea so that donors understand and support it;
- how to create a simple yet convincing business plan and budget;
- how to apply and successfully present your project.
