The National Bank, FUIB and UAnimals are starting a charity event to collect #PowerCoins coins

The National Bank of Ukraine, UAnimals, FUIB and Oschadbank are starting an annual charity event to collect "#PowerCoins" coins to help animals affected by the war.

During the next three months – from September 15 to November 28, 2025 inclusive – will continue to collect coins in denominations of 10, 50 kopecks and 1, 2, 5 and 10 hryvnias throughout Ukraine. The amount of funds collected will be transferred to the needs of evacuated animals in shelters and animals in front-line regions. Oschadbank and FUIB became partner banks of the shares.

What will the collected funds be directed to?

• Feed for evacuated animals – purchase of feed for animals rescued from the war zone, which will make it possible to provide shelters and temporary detention centers with food;
• Treatment of injured and sick animals – financing of veterinary care, operations, medicines, rehabilitation and basic vaccination for animals suffering injuries or diseases as a result of war;
• Aviaries and shelter facilities – purchase of materials and equipment to create or expand safe places in shelters that are ready to receive animals from evacuation.

We must teach the young generation not only to manage a personal budget, save, invest, but also to join a common cause and help those who cannot take care of themselves. Join the fundraiser, do worthy deeds, turn your coins into a symbol of a good cause", - said the Chairman of the National Bank Andriy Pishnyi. 

The "#PowerCoins" charity event is primarily aimed at children and youth who have repeatedly demonstrated their activity in previous charity events organized by the National Bank. So, last year more than 210,000 children, students and educators from all over Ukraine joined the charity collection of coins.

At the same time, the charity event "#PowerCoins" – is not only about fundraising, but also about the development of the culture of charity, which is an integral part of financial culture.

"By saving animals, our team is always looking for deeper causes of cruelty to them in society. And we see: culture, knowledge and values are formed from childhood. That is why it is a great honor for us to hold this action together with the NBU and partners. It not only saves the lives of animals, but also fosters humanity and responsibility in children, shows how small actions have a great impact", says Olga Chevganyuk, head of the strategic initiatives department of UAnimals.

Andriy Bodyan, director of the collection and money circulation department of FUIB Bank, added: «Every life is priceless. Animals in war are defenseless against hunger, cruelty, shelling. By helping animals, we remain human. Coins from a large number of Ukrainians can turn into significant charitable contributions. We all unite together for the sake of saving life».

How to join the initiative?

To join the promotion, you need to collect coins (10, 50 kopecks and 1, 2, 5 and 10 hryvnias in denominations) and in the period from September 15 to November 28, 2025, take them to the nearest branch of the bank-partner of the promotion - Oschadbank and FUIB. The bank will transfer these funds to the account of the UAnimals fund.

Teams can join the campaign and collect coins in educational institutions, enterprises, organizations and other institutions. This will enable all concerned citizens to participate in fundraising and help save the lives of war-affected animals.

The special information portal contains the addresses of all branches of partner banks, where citizens will be able to transfer the collected coins to the account of the "UAnimals" fund, as well as detailed information about the conditions of participation in the promotion and events for educational institutions.

UAnimals – is an organization that saves animals and the environment from war and human cruelty. Currently, the team is actively saving animals from war: it is evacuating, delivering feed and medicine, and rebuilding shelters.

Also, during its existence, the organization managed to ban mobile circuses with animals in more than 30 cities of Ukraine. As a result of UAnimals' negotiations with Ukrainian clothing brands, dozens of designers have pledged not to use fur in their collections.
