Thanks to FUIB's financial assistance to the military, quick commission-free money transfers to foundations, sale of military domestic government bonds our victory is nearing

Support of the Armed Forces

From the first days of the war, FUIB has been funding procurements for the military. To date, the bank has granted more than 60 requests from military bases and special units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Territorial Defense Forces, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the National Police, and the Security Service of Ukraine.

Serhiy Chernenko, FUIB's chairman of the board noted, “Although the bank's priority is to ensure business continuity and stability of Ukraine's financial system, to retain the team, and support customers, we also provide financial assistance for Ukrainian soldiers. Business development is only possible in an independent and peaceful country. To date, FUIB has provided over UAH 68 million for bases and special units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Territorial Defense Forces, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the National Police, and the Security Service of Ukraine. These funds were used to purchase bulletproof vests, helmets, gas masks, thermographic cameras, tactical backpacks and gloves, drones, cars and fuel, medicine and food. The bank handed over 40% of the armored vehicles to special units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Police, and the Territorial Defense Forces, which perform tasks related to the defense of the state territories and provision of humanitarian aid. We will continue to support the fight against the Russian aggressor. Everything will be Ukraine! Free and strong Ukraine!”

In their letters of thanks, the military emphasize that the support of Ukrainian businesses allows them to ensure smooth operation of units, their readiness to repel, to be able to protect airspace, civilians, and infrastructure. Soldiers and volunteers are grateful that the bank is not merely waiting for victory, but thanks to its efforts, our victory is nearing.

In total, since the beginning of the war, FUIB, together with other SCM businesses, Rinat Akhmetov Foundation, and Shakhtar football club, has donated over UAH 2.1 billion to help Ukraine and Ukrainians. In particular, this amount includes humanitarian aid to civilians and support for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Territorial Defense Forces in dozens of cities and towns.

Warriors of the bank

100 employees of the bank defend Ukraine’s independence in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Territorial Defense Forces. They have retained their positions and salaries. Those who were IT specialists, financiers, analysts, engineers, managers, marketers and lawyers at the time of peace are now infantrymen, artillerymen, border guards, storm troopers. They steadfastly defend their native land in Kyiv, Bakhmut, Mariupol, Kharkiv, Zaporizhia, Dnipro, Chernihiv, and defend our borders. They courageously defend the lives of Ukrainians.

Fast transfers of money for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Since the beginning of the war, FUIB has organized the possibility of quick commission-free transfer of any amount of money to support Ukrainian soldiers via the PUMB Online mobile application, PayHub payment platform, and at the cash desks of branches that continue to operate. FUIB is now a financial partner of many charitable foundations that support Ukrainian soldiers and volunteers. Concerned Ukrainians have already transferred more than UAH 250 million through our bank.

Military bonds

As a primary dealer, FUIB launched a service to sell military domestic government bonds to support Ukraine's budget through investments. Corporate clients can purchase them in PUMB Digital Business internet banking. Individuals can purchase military bonds at the nearest bank branches, and further purchases can also be made remotely. More than 480 clients of the bank have already applied for the purchase of such bonds, and the total amount of their investments in military domestic government bonds amounted to over UAH 201 million, USD 1.3 million, and EUR 213 thousand.

FUIB remains a systemically important bank of Ukraine and the bank that was authorized by the NBU to provide cash for the entire banking system of Ukraine at the most difficult time for the state.
