According to official data of the NBU, the deposit portfolio of individuals in hryvnia in the banking system of Ukraine increased by 8.1% in January-June 2021, while the growth of the hryvnia deposit portfolio of individuals in FUIB for the same period amounted to 16.9%.

The share of hryvnia deposits in the structure of the total deposit portfolio of FUIB's retail clients today is over 63%. At the same time, for comparison, at the beginning of 2019, this figure slightly exceeded 44%.

The structure of the hryvnia deposit portfolio is dominated by "Dokhidnyi" fixed-term deposit – it accounts for more than 70% of the portfolio. The maximum yield on this deposit is up to 10% per annum in hryvnia.  

The increase in the deposit portfolio in hryvnia was induced by several factors. Willing to get higher yields (in the conditions of a stable trend of declining yields, which has been going on in Ukraine for the second year in a row), existing and new clients of the bank open new deposits in hryvnia. The most popular combination is a classic fixed-term deposit ("Dokhidnyi") and a demand deposit ("Vilnyi"). On average, one FUIB retail client has two active deposits. More than 85% of deposits are prolonged by clients for a new term.

Also, the growth of the hryvnia liabilities portfolio is influenced by significantly higher yield than in foreign currency deposits. The rates on hryvnia deposits in FUIB are as follows: up to 10% per annum for "Dokhidnyi" deposit, up to 8.5% per annum for "Nakopychuvalnyi" deposit and up to 5% per annum for "Vilnyi" deposit. At the same time the yield on foreign currency deposits does not exceed 0.1% per annum.

According to NBU, as of June 1, 2021, FUIB ranks 5th among all banks in Ukraine in terms of total (in hryvnia equivalent) volume of retail deposit portfolio, and 1st in total volume of retail portfolio of individuals among banks with private capital. As of June 1, 2021 the total portfolio of FUIB's retail clients, which includes remaining funds on fixed-term deposits and demand deposits in hryvnia and inn foreign currencies, as well as remaining funds on current (card) accounts, amounted to 29.143 billion UAH. (in hryvnia equivalent).

According to NBU official data, FUIB is among the TOP-5 banks (among 75 banks operating in Ukraine) by the growth of the national currency retail deposit portfolio in 2020. Thus, FUIB took:

the 5th place in the total volume (demand and fixed-term deposits) of portfolio growth in hryvnia.
the 5th place in terms of growth in fixed-term deposits of individuals in hryvnia.
