FUIB confirmed high level of client data safety

First Ukrainian International Bank has once again successfully passed the certification for compliance with the PCI DSS payment card infrastructure security standard and received confirmation of compliance with the PCI DSS standard version 3.2.1. This means that the bank meets all the security requirements of the payment card industry provided by the standard. In other words, the certificate is another confirmation of the highest level of protection of confidential information of payment card holders.

"Information is the main asset of every business; its preservation is an important task. Security issues need to be carefully considered at the design stage of systems, taking into account at each stage of data protection, their transmission, processing and storage. In order to obtain a professional assessment of internal processes, FUIB JSC annually undergoes an independent external audit for compliance with the PCI DSS standard,” commented Alina Bobrova, Head of the FUIB JSC Processing Center.

The certification audit was conducted by specialists of Compliance Control Ltd. - one of the first specialized organizations providing services in the field of certification under the PCI DSS standard. The auditors noted that the successful completion of the FUIB audit is an indicator of a high level of maturity in the development and implementation of projects that provide an appropriate level of information security when working with payment card data.

Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard is a standard for the payment security of bank payment cards developed by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council, established by the international payment systems Visa, Mastercard, American Express, JCB and Discover. The standard is a set of detailed security requirements for data on payment card holders that are transmitted, stored and processed by companies and banks. The latest version of the PCI DSS 3.2.1 standard has strengthened the existing requirements for information security, as well as included new compliance points. The standard has been created for better security control when using payment card holders' data and to reduce the level of card fraud.
