FUIB has announced admission of students for a free online training course "Data Analysis from FUIB". The course will be useful for senior students of technical and economic universities from all over Ukraine who want to gain experience as Data analysts, Data scientists, Business analysts. Students will learn to use tools for the work with data on the basis of real banking cases with depersonalized data. In particular, SSRS & Power BI for data visualization, SQL & Python for data analysis, and RPA for process automation. Students of the course will also learn how to create Data Science models.

For us, this project has, first of all, social significance: we want to give students practical knowledge and first experience, which are in demand among employers. We believe that the acquired skills will help them find their first jobs in our bank or in other organizations. The main thing for FUIB as an employer is the fact that the students of the Analytics Academy will get acquainted with our bank and will start their professional career with high-quality expert support,” said Tetiana Kostiuchenko, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Human Resources.

Students who graduated from technical and economic universities in the following specialties: economic cybernetics, applied systems analysis, mathematical analysis, and other specialties that involve knowledge of database analytics may participate in the competitive selection. The curriculum consists of two modules, each of which will last two weeks, on average. Lectures will be delivered by FUIB's leading experts in various areas of analytics.

Kyiv School of Economics (KSE), whose professors were involved in the development of the curriculum and will teach students during the "Data Analysis from FUIB" course, was the strategic partner of the FUIB Analytics Academy. Olesya Verchenko, Vice President for Economic Education at the Kyiv School of Economics, said, “In order to be as useful as possible, educational products must combine high-quality up-to-date content and effective teaching methods. In today's super-dynamic reality, employers are the best experts in determining the skills young professionals need for a successful career start, especially in new areas such as data analytics. Teaching technologies are the domain of educational institutions. Our cooperation is aimed at creating a product with the greatest added value for students of the program, its founders and for the development of Data Analysis in Ukraine in general."

Students who have been studying at a university for three or more years (18-25 years old) may apply for the course, as the goal of the project is to give students or graduates practical skills. The main requirement for applicants is the ability to work with databases and be willing to devote about 4 hours a day for practical and independent learning during one month. In order to apply, you need to fill out a form on the project website and pass an interview.

Dmytro Brovchuk, Director of FUIB's Data and Analytics Department, who is part of the project's working group, made the following comment about the bank's educational initiative: “We believe in Ukrainian youth, we believe that their ideas can be implemented, and that they can gain value for business. FUIB has extensive expertise in various areas of analytics and, with the help of the Analytics Academy, we want to give young professionals practical skills and real experience of work with real (depersonalized) data, which are in demand in the market.”

Upon completion of the training and passing the test, participants will receive a certificate confirming that they completed the course. The best students will be invited to work at FUIB. Training will start at the beginning of June 2021. Applications will be accepted from May 1 to May 22, 2021.

FUIB Analytics Academy is an educational project for students and graduates of technical universities who know how to work with databases and want to obtain a targeted specialization, such as: Data analyst, Data scientist, Business analyst. "Data Analysis from FUIB" is the first course that will be launched by the Analytics Academy.
