“Chornobyl. Journey” multimedia exhibition consists of seven semantic blocks - from the world context of the turbulent 1986 to the story of the accident itself, from the stories of people whose destinies are inextricably linked to the events of April 26, 1986, to the dialog about the future of Chornobyl and its future.

In the pavilion No.1 of the Expocenter of Ukraine, visitors will be able to see archival photos and videos, works by world artists, as well as the famous Ukrainian artist Mariya Prymachenko, dedicated to Chornobyl, get to Chornobyl and explore it with modern technology, see in VR how the fourth power unit was covered with 'New modern confinement' and how life returns step by step to the Exclusion Zone. The project is completed by the Pink Floyd star band Marooned video, shot in Prypyat.

The exhibition will allow you to learn the stories of eyewitnesses of the accident and people whose fates are inextricably connected with it, as well as record their memories, thoughts and experiences in video or audio format. Upon completion of the project, its content will be posted on a digital platform that will continue to collect memories and reflections on the Chornobyl accident.

The project was initiated by the Office of the President and created by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine together with State Agency of Ukraine on Exclusion Zone Management with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy. The concept and implementation of the project were entrusted to the Gres Todorchuk agency, the curator was Pavlo Hudimov, the architect was Slava Balbek, and the supervisor was Oleh Nasvit.

The project was implemented with the support of Epicenter, VISA, FUIB and Samsung as a technical partner. Discussion programs, presentations and thematic lectures are planned within the framework of the exhibition.

"Chornobyl is the history of Ukraine. We must preserve it for future generations and use it as a lesson to avoid repeating terrible mistakes. The site of the disaster is gradually becoming a zone of development. We supported the creation of the exhibition because it teaches Ukrainians to research, to draw conclusions and to revive under any circumstances. Through the prism of the past, visitors learn about the opportunities and the future of our country. And, we hope, they will want to become active participants in its development. Everyone's small deeds are part of the big deed,” said Serhiy Chernenko, FUIB's chairman of the board.

The exhibition will be inaugurated on April 26 for IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi, President and mass media.

For visitors Chornobyl.Journey will be opened after the abolition of strict quarantine. Admission to the exhibition is free in compliance with all security measures, recommended by the Ministry of Health.
