At the fifth regional My Career in Ukraine conference, 60 authors of the best essays of Donetsk region met the heads of companies and institutions, and received career guidance tips from them.

Maryna Saprykina, the head of the Center for CSR Development, inspired the participants to take responsibility for their future: “Now you are at an age when you have a lot of expectations. But you have to understand what you like and take responsibility for your own future.”

The TOP-5 professions of tenth-graders of Donetsk region included: doctor, journalist, teacher, programmer and lawyer. Speakers - among whom were representatives of the dream professions - gave their advice:

Andriy Vysotskyi, the head of the FUIB's Mariupol RC, emphasized: “It is necessary to develop systematic thinking, to strive for something new and interesting. If you work sincerely and wholeheartedly, develop together with your business and company, you will definitely be noticed and appreciated! ”

Police captain Kateryna Shneider, the head of the juvenile prevention department of the Prevention Administration of the Main Department of the National Police in Donetsk region, emphasized: “Today we are not creating projects for a month or two, but for a long time - we want to develop the police, to make it progressive. The desire for change for the better motivates. I wish you to find a job that will make your eyes shine! ”

Alevtyna Shvetsova, host of the Morning of Mariupol morning show on the MTV channel, charged the teenagers with positive: “You need to be an excellent person in your business and be the best in it. With this approach, you will be looked up to. If you have the opportunity to prove yourself, do not be shy, you do not always get this chance! There are no cameras, there is nothing around, smile and start a business in a good mood.

During the conference, participants also took part in the Bank of the Future game which was adapted to the new online reality too. Thanks to it, tenth-graders got acquainted with the trends of the future. Students presented their ideas for solving the 7 biggest challenges: climate change, overpopulation, digitalization, robotics, attention to health issues, overload with information and the threat of pandemics. Participants were happy to share their emotions after the conference and talked about how it affected their career plans.

“After the conference, I finally understood who I want to be. Thank you for that! I really liked the team game, the speakers were just incredible”, says Kateryna Kovaliova, participant in the regional online conference “My Career in Ukraine”.
