FUIB starts paying dividends to shareholders and increases authorized capital
Tuesday, April 28, 2020 At the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders of JSC FUIB, a decision was made to pay dividends to the Bank's shareholders based on the results of 2019, as well as to increase the Bank's authorized capital. The total amount of annual dividends to shareholders was over 2 billion UAH; the amount of dividends per one FUIB's ordinary registered share was 139.63 UAH. The authorized capital of the bank was increased by 1.5 billion UAH.
“In 2019, FUIB earned a record profit of 2.6 billion UAH, the bank's liquidity and capital adequacy indicator equals almost twice as much as the standard set by the regulator. This result testifies to the stability of the business model, which has proven its effectiveness and reliability in multiple crisis situations. The decision to pay dividends and raise the authorized capital is a strategic step that the bank and the supervisory board have deliberately taken over several years. What has become possible is a result of the synergy of the right business model, effective corporate governance and the willingness to adequately respond to external challenges,” states Serhiy Chernenko, FUIB's chairman of the board.
As of April 1, 2020, FUIB's capital adequacy ratio was 22.15%, which is more than twice as much as the regulatory value of 10%. Given the payment of dividends, capital adequacy was 17.1%. Due to the fact that part of the profit is aimed at increasing the authorized capital and the reserve fund, the authorized capital indicator will improve to 15.7% with the standard of 7% (exceeding it by 2.2 times).
Dividends will be paid through the depositary system of Ukraine, in accordance with the procedure and terms established by the legislation of Ukraine.
