In partnership with FUIB, the Center for the Development of Corporate Social Responsibility and the Career Hub are holding an essay contest called “My Future Profession: Planning and Development”. The goal of the project is to show teenagers the possible career development path and to inspire them to make deliberate choice of the future profession.

On 15 January, starts the All-Ukrainian contest “My Future Profession: Planning and Development”, suggesting the students of the tenth class to write an essay on a given topic. Teenagers will share their vision of the prospects for self-realization in the chosen profession and will describe what contribution they are planning to make to the development of the country. The essay submission deadline is 25 February.

The authors of the best works will become participants of regional meetings in five cities: Kyiv, Lviv, Kharkiv, Zaporizhia and Odesa, where they will get acquainted with the managers of local companies and create their own recipe for a successful career. On 31 May, 50 the most active participants of the regional stages will visit the all-Ukrainian conference on career planning in Kyiv, where they will learn from the experience of top managers and successful Ukrainians. And on 1 June, the winners will have a unique opportunity to spend the day with a top manager and see the company's work from the inside.

Maryna Saprykina, the head of the Center for the Development of CSR, notes: “This project is about the bridge between adults and children, business and school, profession and dream. Within the project, top managers will spend a day with schoolchildren, and schoolchildren will spend their day in a company. We believe that this project will inspire young people to choose their profession consciously”.

FUIB's chairman of the Board Serhiy Chernenko emphasizes: “In the tenth grade, teenagers are thinking about choosing a profession. The number of specialties is huge and before deciding who to become, it is necessary to give a frank and a conscious answer to oneself to the question: “Who am I in deed?” We want this project to help young people understand themselves and determine the goal, to believe in their strength and move forward, to be happy in their chosen profession”.
