Successful Ukrainians shared their experience with teenagers at the fourth regional conference of the “My Career in Ukraine” project in Lviv

The winners of the first stage from Lviv, Volyn, Ternopil, Chernivtsi, Rivne, Ivano-Frankivsk, Zakarpattia and Khmelnytskyi regions gathered at the regional meeting in Lviv. Adolescents have chosen a wide variety of professions. The range included the traditional ones − a doctor, a teacher, a psychologist, a journalist, and those which are only gaining in popularity − an animal police officer and an expert on cybersecurity.

During the discussion “Life Hacks from the tops: How to Build a Successful Career”, participants received advice from guests: Andriy Bordian, Head of PUMB RC in  Lviv; Andriy Bilyi, HR-expert of the Perfectial IT company; Valeriya Pechenyk, journalist of the agency Dyvys.info, Radio Liberty, Public Radio, Radio NV; Andriy Pavliv, director of the conference bureau in Lviv. Successful Ukrainians shared their experience in choosing a profession, finding themselves and personal development. Adolescents found out that Ukraine has many opportunities for self-realization of youth.

Andriy Bordian, Head of PUMB RC in Lviv, advised young people to improve constantly: “Choose your walk of life and not the profession. You can always change your profession, but not the walk of life. Today, permanent development is an obligatory part of success, because your yesterday's skills may become unnecessary tomorrow. When choosing an employer, pay attention to their contribution to the development of employees. A responsible company invests in training of its team. Motivate yourself, set clear goals. Create with love for work and people, then you will have enormous opportunities in Ukraine!”

One more meeting will take place later in Odessa and it will complete the series of regional conferences. On May 30, 2019 the All-Ukrainian conference on career planning will be held in Kyiv, it will become the day on which dreams about a career will come true for the winners. On May 31, winners will have a unique opportunity to spend one day with their heroes who is an expert in the profession they have chosen!
