FUIB is the best Ukrainian bank in CSR

First Ukrainian International Bank (FUIB) is recognized as the best Ukrainian bank in corporate social responsibility (CSR) in 2014 according to the international rating Global Banking & Finance Review Awards – 2014.

In line with the best practices of the SCR systems, FUIB has been working for many years in the following areas: HR management, quality management and customer relationship management, charity and social investments, environmental protection, labor protection, etc. The system of corporate social responsibility (CSR) was built in the bank according to the UN Global Compact Principles.

“Large business, being a locomotive of development of the economy and, therefore, the state, must promote the values of responsible and ethical approach in all areas of its activity. I believe the level of responsibility of a business is a benchmark of social maturity. Our objective is to build an advanced and civilized society and each of us should contribute to it. And this is why FUIB has been promoting the philosophy of social responsibility within which it traditionally holds various charity campaigns, helps orphanages, supports various health care institutions and encourages all representatives of corporate business to do it”, notes Sergey Chernenko, the CEO of FUIB.

Traditionally, every year FUIB implements a number of large social projects aimed at help to orphanages, financial support of health care institutions and implements various environmental initiatives.

Just in 2014 the bank has implemented a number of social projects including charity campaign of collection of essentials and cash for purchase of presents for pupils of orphanages on the International Children Protection Day and Saint Nicolas Day, participation in a tournament “Cup of Life”, the purpose of which was to collect funds for purchase of a life support surgical monitor was purchased for the patients of Neurosurgical Department of Kiev Regional Psychiatric and Drug Rehabilitation Medical Center. Also, FUIB employees took part in all-Ukrainian event for cleaning of parks, gardens, beaches and other recreation places “Let’s Make Ukraine Clean!”. Additionally, the bank provides financial support to Donetsk Children Oncohematology Center “Nadezhda”: a special medical equipment was purchased for the funds transferred by the bank in 2013.
