FUIB supported UAnimals' fundraiser for an evacuation vehicle to rescue animals

In December 2025, a russian drone completely destroyed a UAnimals evacuation bus. The animal protection organization's team launched a fundraiser to purchase and equip a vehicle to transport animals from dangerous regions. FUIB donated 1.6 million to purchase the bus.

Four years of full-scale invasion UAnimals evacuates animals from frontline areas. Every week, the team sets off for Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson, Zaporizhia regions and other regions that are constantly under enemy fire. During one flight, it is possible to evacuate from 30 to 60 animals — domestic, farm and wild. UAnimals has already rescued almost 10 thousand cats, dogs, cows, sheep and many other animals from frontline areas.

To buy and equip an evacuation car, 2,450,000 hryvnias are needed. This includes buying a car, installing an electronic warfare system, equipping the body for transporting animals, and equipment for the safety and comfort of all passengers.

Olga Matsko, Head of the Strategic Initiatives Department at UAnimals: “Animals are absolutely not protected: the state is not obliged to evacuate them, international humanitarian aid is not provided for them, and veterinarians in front-line zones are almost non-existent. However, they feel pain and fear just the same. That is why animals are saved by volunteers and charitable foundations like us. And we cannot do without the support of business. We are sincerely grateful to FUIB for the fact that we will continue to be able to evacuate animals, saving their lives. By the way, we have a lot of requests for help from the military - this demonstrates that saving every life is on time, and we have no right to stop.”

FUIB closed more than half of the amount, donating 1.6 million. This is the cost of the car itself. FUIB has been supporting the all-Ukrainian animal protection organization UAnimals since 2023. The cooperation began when they provided assistance to animals that suffered as a result of the explosion of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station.
