The photo book "Eyes of War" by military photographers Konstantin and Vlada Lieberov, created with the strategic support of FUIB, was first presented to an international audience at the stand of the Institute of the Ukrainian Book during The London Book Fair - one of the most influential publishing events in the world. Several copies were donated to the National Library of London, recording our history in the world's collections.

The world must look war in the eye. Not to feel pity or fear, but to realize the truth. That is why FUIB supported the release of the photo book “Eyes of War” to an international audience, helping to speak to it in the language of truth, facts and living testimonies.

“Eyes of War” is a documentary photo project that captures the reality of the Russian-Ukrainian war through the lens of Konstantin and Vlada Lieberov. It is a document of time that preserves the dignity, truth, pain and strength of Ukrainians. The Lieberovs’ photographs are testimonies of the war that shape historical memory and help the world better understand what Ukraine is going through.

The London space of the Vesna Club, founded by Ukrainians Olga Freimut and Veronika Khudenko, held a private presentation of the photo book, a photo exhibition and a charity auction. Among the guests of the event were representatives of the cultural community, media, and diplomatic circles - in particular, the Ambassador of Ukraine to the United Kingdom Valeriy Zaluzhny and the representative of the Ombudsman of Ukraine Yuriy Lysenko.

Konstantin Liberov emphasized: “In a world where information is often distorted, the truth is extremely valuable. But it is fragile. But the more people stand on the side of the truth, the harder it is to destroy it. FUIB understands this — and we are grateful to have such a strong ally.”

For FUIB, supporting Konstantin and Vlada Liberov’s photo project “Eyes of War” is a partnership born from shared values: dignity, humanity, and the belief that Ukraine should be heard. We have the courage to openly look war in the eye, while continuing to strengthen our country and culture — both at home and for the whole world.
