The FRS kept the key rates unchanged. Following the January meeting of the US Federal Reserve (which was held on January 26), the key interest rate remained at 0.00 - 0.25% per annum. The regulator announced plans to close the asset repurchase program in March. FRS Chairman Jerome Powell said that members of the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) intend to raise the rate in March. He also made it clear that the FRS is likely to raise the rate faster than they had done it in the past.
