During the last week of April, international stock markets continued recovering spurred by a soft policy of global central banks. Persistent low cost of loans and almost unlimited liquidity support provided by the FRS and the ECB caused a record-high monthly growth of the key stock indices. The progress in counteracting the pandemic, namely slower spread of the infection and positive results of testing antiviral medications also provided support to investors. All of the above-mentioned raises the likelihood that business activity in Europe and in the US will be restored stage-by-stage.
