Financial markets survey 08.01.2019

The end of 2018 was demonstrating a rather ambiguous format for the US financial market. On Monday, 24 December, key stock indices fell more than 2%, while the S&P 500 Index set an anti-record, dropping record-low to 2351.1. On Tuesday, 25 December, Americans were celebrating Catholic Christmas. At the beginning of trading on Wednesday, the S&P 500 Index sagged 20% down from its historical record-high. However, afterwards, it rapidly bounced back.
