Just a few days ago, the largest fintech conference UAFIN.TECH. took place in Kyiv and brought together representatives of various industries to share experiences in the field of innovative finance and technology.

One of the panel discussions of the event was dedicated to the future of transformation. Representatives of the banking market joined this discussion. One of its participants was Serhiy Mahdych, FUIB's Deputy Chairman of the Board on Corporate Business, who shared with the audience the Bank's strategy against the background of the digital transformation of the financial sector.

“For us, transformation is a reaction to dynamic changes in the environment as a result of competition through the prism of customer experience. With this in mind, we make strategic decisions regarding its priority areas: construction of digital platforms and reengineering of transactional and credit processes. And although the transformational changes in FUIB began long before the pandemic, the coronavirus crisis still accelerated the implementation of innovations," said Serhiy Mahdych during his speech.

Means are different but the goal is the same. Representatives of the banking market agreed that innovation is almost the main source of economic growth, and their implementation requires significant costs.

According to Serhiy Mahdych, FUIB annually invests in the transformation of internal business processes.

"Speaking of numbers, next year the bank plans to invest 1.2 billion hryvnias in development. In the corporate business, we have already decided on the segments in which we will try not only to assert ourselves, but aim to be leaders in the near future. One of them is microbusiness, the lending to which we will start soon."
