21 oxygen concentrator will be delivered to the "Mykolayiv regional children's clinical hospital" of the Mykolayiv regional council, "Odesa regional clinical medical center" of the Odesa regional council, "Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi central district hospital" of the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district council, "Central district hospital of the Podilskyi district of Kuyalnyk village council".

This equipment is vital for the treatment of patients with moderate severity of the disease. 10-liter oxygen concentrator KSOC-5 by Jiangsu Konsung Bio-Medical Science and Technology Co. Ltd. can simultaneously provide two patients who need oxygen support during COVID-19 treatment. This safe to use and energy-saving model of oxygen concentrator will be useful even after the pandemic: it can be used to treat not only respiratory diseases, but also cardiovascular and cerebral vascular systems diseases and hypoxia.

"During the corona crisis, business cannot stay away from the problems of the society. Together with the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation, the bank will provide 4 hospitals in 2 southern regions with 21 oxygen concentrators. Our team will deliver a total of 140 concentrators to 27 hospitals in different regions of Ukraine. Quality equipment is an important component of successful treatment of patients with COVID-19," said Andriy Omelchenko, head of the FUIB Regional Center in Odesa.

"Today, there are many oxygen-dependent patients with coronavirus in the hospital. We lack oxygen equipment. The hospital's ability to provide oxygen therapy will be significantly increased thanks to 6 new oxygen concentrators. I am grateful to FUIB and the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation for supporting our medical system in difficult times," said Oleksiy Filonov, Deputy Chief Physician of the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi Central District Hospital.

"Our city effectively counteracts the spread of viral diseases: we purchase equipment and medicines for hospitals, support doctors in difficult times, adhere to quarantine measures. But it would be difficult for us without significant support from local businesses. I thank FUIB and the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation for their partnership in providing assistance to hospitals. We must all stand together against the pandemic, save the lives and health of our citizens," said Mayor of Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi Vitaliy Hrazhdan.

We would like to remind that in early December, FUIB, in partnership with the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation, transferred high-quality ventilator to the intensive care unit of Kyiv City Clinical Hospital No.4. And in the spring of 2020, we purchased medical equipment and personal protective gear for hospitals in Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi, Ternopil, Donetsk and Luhansk regions. A total of 156 hospitals in Eastern and Western Ukraine received aid. The bank and the Foundation handed over to medical facilities 2 ventilators, 2 invasive patient monitors, more than 47,000 protective suits, 4,400 personal protective gear kits, 1,200 sanitizers, and 650 pulse oximeters. In addition, the bank provided 1,500 doctors in 9 reference hospitals at its own expense with StopCoronavirus insurance.

When Ukraine faced the pandemic, Rinat Akhmetov was the first to come to the help. He combined the resources of the Charitable Foundation, DTEK, FC Shakhtar and other SCM assets. Due to this, 300 million hryvnias were allocated to help the country in the fight against coronavirus. This is the largest contribution of one philanthropist to public medicine. For effective work, the Foundation created the Fighting COVID-19 in Ukraine project, which became part of the Rinat Akhmetov - Saving Lives program. The project has no analogues in the country. This is the largest, most systematic and large-scale private initiative aimed at helping public health facilities to fight coronavirus.
