21 oxygen concentrators will be delivered to the Central City Hospital of Rivne City Council, Lviv Yu. Lypa Regional Hospital for War Veterans and Repressed, Ternopil Municipal City Hospital No.2, Chernivtsi Regional Clinical Hospital.

This equipment is vital for the treatment of patients with moderate severity of the disease. 10-liter oxygen concentrator KSOC-5 by Jiangsu Konsung Bio-Medical Science and Technology Co. Ltd. can simultaneously provide two patients who need oxygen support during COVID-19 treatment. This safe to use and energy-saving model of oxygen concentrator will be useful even after the pandemic: it can be used to treat not only respiratory diseases, but also cardiovascular and cerebral vascular systems diseases and hypoxia.

Together with the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation, the bank will deliver 21 oxygen concentrators to 4 hospitals in 4 regions of the western region. A total of 140 concentrators will be delivered by our team to 27 hospitals in different regions of Ukraine. We want oxygen equipment to save the lives of Ukrainians in time. Today, the fight against COVID-19 is the task for every Ukrainian, of every community and business," said Andriy Bordian, head of the FUIB Regional Center in Lviv.

"Charity is an example of patriotism. On December 17, FUIB handed over six oxygen concentrators to our institution, which will be used to treat patients with severe Covid-19. This equipment is essential for our patients. We truly thank our philanthropists for such valuable support!” - stressed Maksym Prykupenko, the Director General of the Lviv Yu. Lypa Regional Hospital for War Veterans and Repressed.

"I thank FUIB and the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation for their systematic assistance in the fight against coronavirus disease. During this difficult period, the Foundation donated dozens of ventilators, thousands of protective suits for physicians, and rapid tests to hospitals in Lviv region. These are the things that are priceless in today's reality, because they save lives. Today, we continue to expand the oxygen network in our hospitals. We understand that for many coronavirus patients, oxygen is more important than any medication. Therefore, we accept the donated oxygen concentrators with great gratitude. The partnership with the bank and the Foundation demonstrates how effective business and government cooperation can be in solving the most difficult tasks,” said Maksym Kozytskyi, Head of the Lviv Regional State Administration.

We would like to remind that in early December, FUIB, in partnership with the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation, transferred high-quality ventilator to the intensive care unit of Kyiv City Clinical Hospital No.4. And in the spring of 2020, we purchased medical equipment and personal protective gear for hospitals in Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi, Ternopil, Donetsk and Luhansk regions. A total of 156 hospitals in Eastern and Western Ukraine received aid. The bank and the Foundation handed over to medical facilities 2 ventilators, 2 invasive patient monitors, more than 47,000 protective suits, 4,400 personal protective gear kits, 1,200 sanitizers, and 650 pulse oximeters. In addition, the bank provided 1,500 doctors in  in 9 reference hospitals at its own expense with StopCoronavirus insurance.

When Ukraine faced the pandemic, Rinat Akhmetov was the first to come to the help. He combined the resources of the Charitable Foundation, DTEK, FC Shakhtar and other SCM assets. Due to this, 300 million hryvnias were allocated to help the country in the fight against coronavirus. This is the largest contribution of one philanthropist to public medicine. For effective work, the Foundation created the Fighting COVID-19 in Ukraine project, which became part of the Rinat Akhmetov - Saving Lives program. The project has no analogues in the country. This is the largest, most systematic and large-scale private initiative aimed at helping public health facilities to fight coronavirus.
