The clients of the First Ukrainian International Bank (FUIB) who use Mastercard cards can activate the payment service from July 17.

Garmin Pay is designed especially for people who have active lifestyles and use special devices to measure their heart rate, number of steps, etc. From now on, FUIB customers will not only be able to measure basic physical metrics but also pay for purchases with the help of Garmin watch. This is especially useful when, for example, you need to buy water while jogging. With Garmin Pay, you no longer need to take extra things to trainings, such as a wallet or a phone - you can pay for purchases by your watch in a contactless way.

“We at FUIB are focused on offering clients different options for using banking services so that everyone can choose the most convenient form for themselves. We successfully integrated contactless Mastercard payments via Google Pay and Apple Pay. As of today, FUIB clients who choose to pay with the card of this payment system will also be able to use another method of contactless payment - with the help of a watch. I am sure that this service will be in great demand", commented Dmytro Polishchuk, Director of FUIB's Retail Business Department.

Such innovations allow you to fully devote yourself to the pursuit of your favorite sport and not to waste your time on inconvenient cash payments," said Yuriy Bakhin, Vice President of Mastercard Business Development in Ukraine.

Activation of the service takes only a few minutes: you first need to install the Garmin Connect app (available on the Google Play / App Store), then synchronize your smartphone with the watch and add FUIB Mastercard payment cards.

About the Garmin Pay the world heard for the first time in autumn 2017, and in less than a year, several dozens of countries connected to the service. Ukraine has become the 18th country whose inhabitants are able to pay by Garmin Pay. In August 2018, FUIB was one of the first to connect a non-contact payment service using the Garmin watch: this option became available to VISA card holders in August.
