FUIB transfers the building of Parkhomivskyi Art Museum to the museum workers of the Kharkiv region. This building was bought by the bank from auction during the liquidation procedure of its former owner with the support of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration.

The formal transfer of the premises was held on 30 September in the village Parchomivka in the Kharkiv region with participation of the head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration Yulia Svitlychna, the FUIB's chairman of the board of Serhiy Chernenko, the director of the Kharkiv Art Museum Valentyna Myzhina and the director of the Parkhomovsky Art Museum Olena Semenchenko.

Parkhomivskyi Art Museum, named after  P. F.  Luniov, is a valuable asset of Ukrainian culture. For over 60 years, museum workers and friends have been protecting unique works, giving each visitor an opportunity to get acquainted with the originals of the works of the most famous masters of graphics, sculpture and painting – Picasso, Malevich, Vereshchagin, Shishkin, Levitan, Kandinsky, Yizhakevych, Kasiyan and others.  The museum's collection also includes sketches of Vladimir Mayakovsky and a pencil drawing of the outstanding Ukrainian poet and artist Taras Shevchenko.

For years, lovers of genuine fine arts have been actively involved in the life and development of the museum.  After learning about the museum's building during the liquidation of one of its debtors in the bankruptcy procedure, FUIB decided to transfer the building ownership rights to the museum's management.  The Bank became the winner of the auction for the premises, and, following the best traditions of Ukrainian patronage of arts, transfers it as a charitable contribution to the balance of the communal enterprise Kharkiv Art Museum, a department of which is the Parkhomivskyi Museum.

Head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration Yulia Svitlychna:

"Today's event is a wonderful example of effective cooperation between state authorities and socially responsible business. I would like to express my gratitude to the management of the Bank FUIB for their active civil position and support of the rich traditions of Kharkiv patronage. With joint efforts, were able to alleviate the consequences of injustice. And now, the residents of Kharkiv region and the whole of Ukraine have the opportunity to enjoy world masterpieces in the walls of this unique museum."

FUIB's chairman of the Board Serhiy Chernenko:

"The collection of Parkhomivskyi Museum impresses, — it consists of 3,5 thousand unique exhibits of different eras. It is one of the best rural museums in the country, our future generations will be proud of it.  Our decision to redeem and transfer the building is not accidental. This good deed translates into action the corporate value of FUIB, responsibility. Patronage of arts is an integral part of the formation of the Ukrainian people and the social projection of our present and future. I am convinced that rural museums are worth of attention and support from big businesses and admirers of Ukrainian culture."

Parkhomivskyi Art Museum, named after P.F. Luniov was founded by the teacher of the history of the village school Afanasiy Luniov. Together with the students, he created a local history museum, which was located only in one class of the school. Later, they founded the circle "Young Historian" and had the idea of creating an art museum. Many artists were asked to help open such an establishment. Artists from Kharkiv were the first who responded . In 1955, they presented 50 works to the museum, and the year is usually considered as the date of the creation of the museum. Now the collection of the museum has more than 7000 exhibits. Among them are the works of outstanding artists: Pablo Picasso, Kazimir Malevich, Nicholas Roerich, Apollinary Vasnetsov, Ivan Shishkin, Giovanni Piranesi, Ferdinand Bol, Taras Shevchenko, Ivan Yizhakevych, Mykhailo Deregus, Abram Arkhipov. Since 1987, the institution in Parkhomivka is an autonomous department of the Kharkiv Art Museum.
