First Ukrainian International Bank (FUIB), one of Ukraine’s TOP 10 largest banks, has become the official sponsor of Shakhtar football club, eightfold champion and Ukrainian Super Cup winner, the UEFA Cup winner. Partners have signed the one-year agreement for one year due to June 30, 2014.

FC Shakhtar and FUIB are the leaders in the areas of their activity by a number of indicators. Thus, Shakhtar occupies the highest position in the UEFA Rankings among Ukrainian football teams, is the only football club in Ukraine demonstrating financial profitability, adhering to social responsibility principles and disclosing the data about its activities to the fans and community in the form of an annual report. For the 4^th year running FUIB remains among the world largest banks in the rankings by The Banker magazine, has been recognised as the best Ukrainian bank by World Finance and the most electronic bank by InvestGazeta business weekly. FUIB consistently maintains the best practices of corporate governance and regularly publishes its financial results confirming its business stability and strong customer confidence in the Bank.

FC Shakhtar Donetsk (Ukraine) was founded in 1936. This is the first and only Ukrainian club to win the UEFA Cup, also demonstrating consistent performance in the domestic Premier League. Shakhtar is one of the five teams who never suffered relegation from the Ukrainian top flight since foundation.
