The U.S. economy expanded 2.0% year-on-year in the third quarter of 2021, according to preliminary data. The result was worse than the average forecast of analysts at 2.7%. Delta variant COVID-19 spread, problems in global supply chains, shortages of commodities and labor, and price increases have limited activity in both the industrial and consumer sectors. The consumer confidence index in the US in October rose to 113.8 points from a revised 109.8 points in August. The indicator increased for the first time in the last four months. Experts had expected a drop to 108.3 points.
Meanwhile, Ukraine received EUR 600.0 million from the EU. The current account is formed with a deficit.
