The American stock market demonstrated multi-directional dynamics and increased volatility in the course of the previous week. On Friday, 26 October, the market registered a serious drop spurred by falling stock quotations of large hi-tech companies, in particular Amazon and Google. Positive data indicating changes of the US GDP in the third quarter did not help save the situation.
