Over the previous week, the American stock indices registered a record-low fall over the last two years. The tension on markets caused by the fears that trade wars will intensify was supported by another threat of Government shutdown in the US. At the last moment, US President Donald Trump signed the document on financing the Government, which he had threatened to veto in the course of that day. After long discussions, the Congress adopted the proposed budget on 22 March.
